Content Filtering Firewall
Firewall/gateway is a mean for corporate users to access internet. A single minute downtime of such critical network resource can raise chaos among corporate users. We had few critical points while designing a perfect solution:
- High Availability of System.
- Support for content and URL filtering on per user and group basis.
- Solution must provide excellent reports to administrator to monitor user activities.
- Intrusion detection capability implemented in same solution with a user friendly GUI for administrator to monitor malicious traffic.

Active Directory to Linux Migration
No doubt Active Directory holds higher number of technical features than currently available software in Linux. But along with recurring cost of licenses there are lot of other maintenance issues with M$ Windows operating systems like Virus issues, Security problems, low reliability, High hardware requirements etc. Authentication services works perfect in Linux with the power of free and open source software. This migration activity involved:
- Migration of user accounts and groups from windows to Linux

Corporate Chat Server
V-Angelz was already using a commercial corporate chat server but few nice features those were explained by Torrid in open source corporate chat server were not present in previous product. Here the project encompassed:
- Authenticating users from centralized LDAP that was deployed as part of Active Directory migration
- User can add their MSN, YAHOO, IRC, AOL, and Jabber IDs on single client software running on their desktop and through new chat server
- Every chat message passing out of chat server should be logged into database server so that it can be processed as per requirements at a later point of time
- Easy to administer web based GUI
- No license cost
